Textbook Return & Exchange Terms
Course Material Return & Exchange Policy
This return policy applies to all books and merchandise purchased from the Missouri State University Bookstore and its affiliate locations. A valid original receipt is required for all returns and exchanges.
Returns may be completed in-store at the Customer Service counter or by mailing items back to the store with a completed Return Form.
Textbook Returns & Exchanges
To receive a full refund or exchange, the following conditions apply:
• Fall & Spring Semesters: Textbooks must be returned by the Friday of the second week of classes.
• Summer Semester: Textbooks must be returned by the end of the first week of classes.
• Intersession: Textbooks must be returned by the end of the second day of classes.
• Late Purchases (after first two weeks): Must be returned within two business days of purchase.
• End-of-Term Purchases: Textbooks purchased during the last two weeks of classes are non-refundable.
Condition Requirements
• Textbooks must be in original purchase condition.
• Bundled materials and access codes must be unopened and unused.
Additional Notes
• Returns not meeting these conditions may be approved at the discretion of the bookstore.
• Textbooks not eligible for return may still qualify for end-of-semester buyback, with the highest values typically offered during finals week.
Return Shipping Instructions
For faster processing, UPS is recommended when shipping returns to the store.
